Our Staff

Devona Sheppard founded the organization with the vision to provide programs and support services conducive with today’s economic hardships. She has over 10 years of experience in the non-profit service field. Devona has served in the capacity of Program Director under the leadership of the belated Pastor Deanna Haugabrooks of “Kids On Line Ministry”.

Under Pastor Haugabrooks, Devona oversaw several programs including Afterschool and Summer Camp. She also served as Executive Assistant and Armor Bearer to Pastor Haugabrooks. She currently holds an Associate’s Degree in Legal Administration and Business Office Administration. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Operation Street Harvest, which is operated under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Tonya Sumner-Brown.

Devona has dedicated her time to help others based on her experience as a single mother of five and the hardships she faced during the time of raising her children. She desired a place where people could not only receive temporary assistance but compassion as well.

Angela Brown has served as Program Director for the past 10 years providing outreach services to the Metro Atlanta Area. She has dedicated her time under the leadership of Devona Sheppard as the liason of the programs currently in operation. When she is not providing services at Chosen Abilities Resource Center, she is engaged in the operation of her own business, Natural Lice Removal Services.

Angela Brown

Program Director

Pastor Angela R. Scott serves as Chancellor under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Scott of Southeastern Theological Institute. Pastor Scott has been actively involved in ministry for over 20 years. She and her husband are the founders of Pavilion of Hope, Inc., a faith based non-profit 501(c)3 organization that works directly with the homeless, youth and their families that provides training and resources.
